Well, from now it's only 9 days 'til I'm on my way to an island which is close to west-africa. I still can't believe it^^
It still seems a bit unreal also if I feel so happy :D We had a lot of work the last days. Search the information, prepare the presentation, write brochures and take pictures (the weather could have been better) and, incidentally, we still had to go to school the whole day and get good grades. But now we just have to improve it and get it to the final result. Think we can be content.

But ... whoooooho ... a bit more than a week ... and I'll fly to Madeira, the "flower island". Where you can see the coast of Africa if you're high enough. So wow, even the EU can be usefull sometimes (the reason why I fly is a project started and promoted by the EU). Thanks to our politicians(^^) but mostly to my parents who made that possible at all.

Ok, what will I do there?
I mean, you understand that the EU doesn't pay for nothing, don't you? We have to work. The project is called Comenius and aims a partnership between different schools and pupils in Europe.
Slovenia, Estonia, Portugal<span class="">, Poland and Germany take part. Every country will be visited. So the first meet is in Madeira and there we'll have to show the environment of our school, where we're living and so on. Yeah as I said that was a lot of work. Moreover the host prepared a programm for the foreign students, so we'll visit different parts of the island (which is only 22 kilometres long and 15 kilometres wide) and there are different activities with the other students and of course our and the other's  presentation :P
We'll spend 8 days on the island and I think these 8 days will be some of the days I'll never forget.

Madeira ♥

So ... um ... if it's an EU project, why are they spending money on flying you to a location outside of Europe, instead of billeting you in an EU country that could use the income that the conference will bring with it? Don't the EU states trust each other enough? While I think that the EU and Comenius are good ideas and that the Union does a lot of good work, they obviously don't exactly think quite practically.

PS There are no tigers in Africa.
